Over the next five years US Army leaders want to spend USD703 million to develop and evaluate Next Generation Combat Vehicle (NGCV) prototypes. In the Trump administration's fiscal year 2020 (FY 2020) budget request to Congress the army laid out a five-year funding plan to support NGCV prototyping that it says will help the service focus on "delivering incremental experimental prototypes to the warfighter" while also demonstrating manned-unmanned teaming (MUM-T) and Robotic Combat Vehicles (RCVs).
