The Indian Air Force (IAF) has formally obtained certification to operate its fleet of Antonov An-32 'Cline' transport aircraft using blended aviation biofuel in an effort to reduce consumption of the more costly aviation turbine fuel (ATF).The IAF said on 24 May that the Centre for Military Airworthiness and Certification in Bangalore had approved the blending of 10% biofuel with ATF for use with the service's fleet of 105 An-32s currently being upgraded.
