The US Air Force is delaying its Boeing KC-46A Pegasus aerial refuelling tanker full-rate production (FRP) decision by fouryearsto late fiscal year 2024. USAF spokesperson Major Cara Bousie said on 8 June that the service, in co-ordination with the Pentagon's director of operational test and evaluation (DOT&E), had determined that the KC-46A initial operational test and evaluation (IOT&E) phase would conclude after the remote vision system (RVS) deficiencies had been resolved and the USAF Operational Test and Evaluation Center had tested the aircraft in its final production configuration.
