An in-house team from the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD) and the UK Cabinet Office has taken over managing the country's training estate. The new Training Estates Services contract was enacted on 1 April by the Cabinet Office's Crown Commercial Service (CCS) and the ministry's Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO), according to commercial documentation seen by Jane's. Underthe new arrangements, which replace a single prime contract with Landmarc Support Services, an in-house DIO and CCS management team will oversee work packages let to five service providers to run the UK's military training areas and associated infrastructure. The DIO identified Amey Defence Services, Babcock DSG, Kellogg Brown & Root, Landmarc Support Services, and VIVO Defence Services as participants in the first four-year block of work.
