South Korea's Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA) has rolled out additional support measures to help local companies respond to challenges related to the Covid-19 pandemic. DAPA said on 25 May that it will provide funding and assistance to selected domestic companies, particularly small-and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), in devising and producing online promotional content to support defence exports. The promotional content would be used in a newly expanded online portal entitled 'Korea Defense Products Cyber Exhibition' -operated by DAPA in collaboration with the Korea Defense Industry Association (KDIA) and the Ministry of National Defense (MND). Under the scheme DAPA will pay the companies up to 70% of the costs (or up to USD5,600) for producing videos and brochures that will be featured on the portal.
