Brazil will acquire a pair of Airbus A330 cargo aircraft to increase its air force's capacity to airlift freight.Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro announced the intended acquisition on 28 January, noting that it would be funded using BRL500 million (USD92 million) recovered by the country's federal justice system in its effort to combat money laundering schemes.It is not known if the Brazilian Air Force (FAB) will field a standard secondhand commercial cargo A330, or if it will convert it into a military multirole type. The FAB declined to give further information due to commercial confidentiality reasons.
