Speaking at the IQPC International Military Helicopter conference in London in January 2016, Lieutenant Colonel Michel Gelders, Chief of the Air Capability Office, Doctrine and Requirements Division, Belgian Armed Forces Joint Staff, provided an assessment on the introduction of the NH90 within the Belgian Defence Forces. All eight aircraft (four Tactical Transport Helicopters [TTH] and four NATO Frigate Helicopters [NFH]) have now been delivered -the final TTH being handed over in November 2014 and the last NFH in August 2015. In common with France, the NH90 in Belgian service is to be dubbed the Caieman.
