Tests of the US Navy's (USN's) GhostSwimmer unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) have taken place at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek-Fort Story (JEBLC-FS), the service announced in late 2014. The development of the biomimetic vehicle is part of the Silent NEMO project and led by the Chief of Naval Operations' Rapid Innovation Cell. Boston Engineering is working with the USN team and the company's technology forms the basis for the tuna-sized GhostSwimmer.
