The long-awaited recapitalisation of the UK Royal Fleet Auxiliary's (RFA) replenishment shipping moved a step closer in early April 2017 when RFA Tidespring, the first of four Tide-class tankers being procured under the Military Afloat Reach and Sustainability (MARS) Tanker project, arrived in the United Kingdom to begin customisation and trials prior to introduction to service at the end of this year.
