France's multirole Fregate Multi-Mission (FREMM) programme is picking up speed. Lead ship Aquitaine is undergoing initial training, while the French Navy's (Marine nationale's) second FREMM, Normandie, began sea trials on 25 October. Ship three, Provence, was launched by French shipbuilding and systems house DCNS at its Lorient shipyard on 18 September. Meanwhile, Morocco's Mohammed VI - the second ship built in the programme, and the first to be exported -will be delivered to the Royal Moroccan Navy in November 2013.
