The Israeli Navy (IN) has been forced to change its modernisation plans after the German government decided it will not fund the construction of a sixth Dolphin-class (Type 800) submarine and two multimission corvettes for the service.rnGermany is providing EUR700 million (USD911 million) towards the construction of two new Dolphin-class diesel-electric attack submarines by Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft (HDW) in Kiel that will become the fourth and fifth boats of the class. The IN was hopingto receive additional funding for another boat.
