Lockheed Martin has delivered the first batch of 11 MH-60R Seahawk multimission helicopters to the US Navy ahead of the type's inaugural operational deployment with Helicop-ter Maritime Strike Squadron 71. Built to replace the navy's SH-60B and SH-60F helicopters in the anti-submarine and anti-surface warfare roles, the aircraft are due to sail with the USS John C Stennis carrier strike group in 2009.
