The Royal Australian Navy (RAN) has commissioned its third and final Hobart-class air warfare destroyer (AWD). HMAS Sydney (42) was inducted into the RAN's fleet on 18 May at the service's first at-sea commissioning ceremony since the Second World War. The ceremony took place in Jervis Bay, on the southern coast of New South Wales.
