On 5 August 2020 the Russian Navy's Project 971 (Schuka-B) Akula-class nuclear-powered attack submarine (SSN) Vepr (K 157) was officially placed back in service with the Northern Fleet following the completion of a major overhaul and modernisation programme at Nerpa shipyard in Snezhnogorsk, on the Kola Peninsula.
