摘要

A ring-cavity Q-switched fiber regenerative amplifier (QSFRA) was demonstrated. Q-switched laser operations were realized using an Er-doped fiber ring-cavity setup and an acousto-optic modulator. A 10-ns seed pulse of 3-pJ energy was injected into the ring-cavity while the cavity was in a high-Q state, and a gain of more than 40 dB was obtained under 72 mW pump at a 1 kHz repetition rate. It was demonstrated that the QSFRA could suppress broadband amplified spontaneous emission and realize efficient energy transfer from the high-intensity Q-switched regenerative amplifier to input signals.
