I was installed as new executive director of JRE A at the end of May this year. I was working at the Japanese National Railways from 1969, and experienced maintenance of rolling stock, design and development of high-speed trains, and management of train operation and safety control. Then I transferred to Kawasaki Heavy Industries in 1987, where I was mainly engaged in design and development of high-speed trains, participated also in overseas high-speed railway projects, and took charge of technical cooperation.
