摘要

The discussers believed that small differences between the paper results and previous published papers [Karpouzian and Librescu (1996) and Hodges et al. (2002)] in Figs. 2 and 3 may have occurred because of a fault in the aerodynamic modeling or differences between the beam theory used in the paper and these references. Also, they believed that the time-domain aeroelastic model of the wing carrying a powered engine with the Peters aerodynamic model considered as Mqe+Cqe + Kq = 0 (1) cannot be the right form of the governing equations of the system. The writers would like to emphasize that the beam theory used in the paper is the same as one used by Hodges et al.
