摘要

The present paper aims to contribute to the study of the dynamic response of above-ground pipelines loosely resting on frictionless saddles and undergoing strong ground shaking. Applying an appropriate space and time discretization scheme to the continuous system, the dynamic problem is equivalently transformed into a sequence of quasi-static discrete quadratic optimization problems which in turn, are numerically treated by means of an effective quadratic optimization algorithm.
