摘要

The conservation law arising in two- and three dimensional flow in porous media has two physically different terms. Ignoring diffusion the equation is of the form S_t + ▽ f_w(S)(v_(tot) — △ρλ_n(S)γ) = 0. The Darcy flow, generated by pressure gradients, and the gravity term define (locally) the two directions of the flow. Ignoring gravity, the conservation law is generically one-dimensional along the streamlines generated by the total Darcy velocity, v_(tot). In this paper we present how the flow due to gravity is included in a streamline computer code for two phase flow simulations, and how this modification performs compared to more standard two- and three-dimensional codes.
