This paper studies a theory of linear rigid heat conductors with memory introduced by GURTIN AND PIPKIN. The problem is transformed to the frequency domain, where an explicit thermodynamic potential, called a maximal free pseudoenergy, is constructed. This pseudoenergy is then used to prove a stability result.
