Abstract—A dual-polarized multiple-input multipleoutputrn(MIMO)antenna is proposed for 5G base stations.rnEach antenna element consists of two orthogonally placedrnfan-shaped dipole elements and ±45° dual-polarized feedingrnstructures are used to achieve broadband operation.rnThe resonant frequency of the array element is fromrn3.3 to 4.2 GHz, which covers the mainstream spectrumrnallocations of 5G mobile networks. H-shaped couplingrnelements are used to improve the isolation between thernneighboring antenna elements and the mutual coupling isrnreduced by over 4 dB. The envelope correlation of a 2 u0002 2rnarray is provided for verification.
