摘要

Effect of cadmium on growth of green gram Vigna radiata has been studied. It affects the seed germination and plumule-radicle ratio. Growth of plumule and radicle length was affected by cadmium. Different concentrations (0.25, 0.50 & 1.00 mM) of cadmium caused changes in the morphology of the seedlings of green gram. The seed germination was 89% in the normal, but in 0.25% Cadmium exposed seeds, only 82% seed germinations was observed. Similarly, plumule-radicle ratio, length of plumule and radicle also affected by cadmium.
