Another country and one important as a USA trading partner is implementing the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS). Canada's first and key GHS implementation deadline is June 1, 2017. WHMIS (Workplace Hazardous Material Information System) is the national hazard communication system that provides information on the safe use of hazardous products in Canadian workplaces.
