As a relatively recent development, BRT has attracted much attention. The first line was inaugurated in 2007 and crosses the city in an east-west direction between Tehran-Pars and the Azadi Terminal. In the summer of 2010, the 18.3km long line 7 was established to connect the southern part of Tehran to its north. In 2012, with the help of a group of researchers from various organisations, I carried out a passenger survey to gauge public opinion about the BRT Line 7 and to establish what improvements could be made to increase customer satisfaction. Through a stratified sampling method, three groups of people were interviewed; people who lived in, worked in and visited the research area. They were asked to score the system them on a 5-score scale for affordability, accessibility and quality.
