Data derived from intelligent transport systems (ITS) operations can be a very valuable resource for enhancing planning and management, as well as supporting business processes and decision-making. However, there are challenges. The Intelligent Transport Society of America, the country's largest organisation dedicated to research and deployment of ITS, has been tasked by the US Department of Transportation with developing discussion papers on ITS topics to help understand what's holding up ITS deployment.
