In 2008, Transports Publics Genevois (tpg) and its partners within the unireso fare community decided to launch a new marketing concept. At a time when construction work on tram lines and heavy traffic in the city centre were making travel more and more difficult and unpleasant, it was decided that rather than promoting public transport directly, they would focus on the destinations instead! Transport is not a goal in its own right; it is just the best way of getting to the places that give us the most enjoyment. Getting out and about to discover, learn and enjoy... a new guide to Geneva for the Genevan people was born!
