Our first edition last year brought 10 cities of the world together to stand up for sustainable living, on the same day, at the same time... all around the planet. This year our challenge was to grow bigger, and we did, with more cities and more happenings around the world. We received more press coverage and went 'viral'. On Sunday 18 September, on European car-free day -a regular fixture of European Mobility Week and Y4PTwe were ready to take to the streets again. Local operators were incredibly supportive and drew attention to the happening: we would like to thank all of them for their help and participation. The 5000 participants around the world did a fantastic job of learning the moves via an online training video and in-person practice sessions in different cities around the world! Participants danced to songs based on freedom lyrics. Y4PT leaders and dancers rocked around squares, metro and bus stops and stations, receiving surprised looks from passers-by, but as more and more Y4PT supporters entered the dance, onlookers' expressions changed to delight as they realized they were experiencing a flash mob. We even saw several tweets of people, amazed at the scene unfolding in front of them.
