The UITP Sustainable Development Charter was launched in 2003 and now has over 150 signatories from UITP membership. All members are welcome to sign as either Pledge, Full or Associations. It is managed by the Sustainable Development Commission who themselves are all full signatories and whose international membership represents the interests of these signatories. It has produced several reports and positions on all aspects of sustain-ability and its work also encompasses other major topics such as climate change, linking with UITP international advocacy activities. Below are some examples of how UITP members are implementing sustainable development in their own organisations.
