Public transport provides safe, sustainable and cost-effective mobility. Today, citizens and cities would be worse off without public transport!rnThis contribution is substantial but it is not enough for a sustainable future! If mobility patterns are not drastically and rapidly changed, uncontrolled urban and mobility growth will generate unbearable adverse effects in cities. Quality public transport provides part of the answer.rnFor tomorrow, more and better public transport is the solution! We have the competence and ambition to enhance the urban environment for citizens and businesses, to support sustainability, to save lives and time and to reduce harmful emissions. Our aim is to double the market share of public transport worldwide by the year 2025.rnIn many parts of the world, public transport is enjoying increased patronage. In order to meet the objective, all stakeholders are required to take up their responsibilities to provide the capacity increase that is needed.
