Martin Cook's new book, Issues in Military Ethics: To Support and Defend the Constitution, provides a thoughtful and eminently useful examination of a number of topics relevant to military professionals. To be clear, Cook is a personal friend and a professional mentor. I have worked to remain objective in my review, and - if anything - may be more critical of Issues in Military Ethics precisely because I am so familiar and impressed by Martin's intellect.
