The sintering behaviour and electrical conductivity of In_2O_3 and SnO_2-In_2O_3 (ITO) ceramics doped with MgO, Fe_2O_3, SiO_2, ZrO_2, and TiO_2 (0,1 to 2 wt/100 as oxide) were investigated. For In_2O_3, additions of titania and iron oxide addition in In_2O_3 lead to noticeable densification improvement. It is shown that TiO_2 improves the densification rate, decreases the normal grain growth and inhibits the abnormal grain growth during the final stage of sintering. All the additives degrade the electrical conductivity in some extent, except for titania.
