To increase the positive effects of introducing robots for the production of workpieces in small quantities and of many types, it is especially important to reduce the time required for teaching. An automatic programming system using off-line teaching systems has been newly developed which can be operated entirely by data-input of the applied workpiece on a CRT display of a personal computer. This paper describes application conditions of robotization for the welding of steel structures and the painting of door frames.
