The growing pace of regulation continues to challenge businesses of all sizes right across the EU. Whereas larger manufacturers have faced up to the regulatory landscape of a global marketplace for years, service-based companies have tended to be smaller, more niche and more local in their approach. Taking advantage of a wider marketplace, even within Europe, often seemed an insurmountable challenge owing to a lack of regulatory harmony.
