Spanish company Cromogenia Units, which produces chemicals for a wide range of industries including leather, has joined the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) programme and achieved Level 3 certification, the highest award offered by the initiative.Launched in 2011 in response to the Greenpeace DeTox campaign, the ZDHC programme aims to transform the value chain of the textile, apparel, leather and footwear industry. The main purpose of the programme is to foster innovation to further protect people, natural resources and the planet by reducing the industry's chemical footprint.
