LANXESS have developed a new, sulfone-based synthetic tanning material with outstanding fastness. Tanigan VR combines all the advantages that modern chemical technology has to offer with those of a vegetable tanning material and also eliminates the problems often caused by the inherent colour of vegetable tanning materials. The properties of chemically manufactured syntans are modelled on those of natural, vegetable tanning materials.
