Library Web sites tend to be complicated because libraries serve diverse information to diverse users. In the quest to create the best Web site, designers may forget that users generally do not like rapid, drastic changes to their interfaces. While usability testing remains an important part of Web site design, the concept of the redesign can be counterproductive.
