The USIU Library has been touted as a pioneer modern library building, and its standards have been replicated and bettered by other libraries in Kenya today. This is a big stride for Kenyan libraries in the wake of dynamism in libraries. The impact in user satisfaction is that young people who form a majority of library users today prefer comfortable workplaces and more freedom to move around and explore the space provided in modern library buildings; they need a place to use their laptops and different zones to work. Many young people prefer to work in open areas next to others, but still some of them want to study in quiet areas.
