The results show that there are differences in the use of Web 2.0 tools among librarians in university libraries in Nigeria and South Africa. Differences also exist among the librarians in Nigeria and South Africa concerning the purpose for which the librarians use Web 2.0 tools. Differences also exist among the librarians in Nigeria and their South African counterparts concerning the challenges in using Web 2.0 tools. Librarians in Africa need to incorporate Web 2.0 elements into their library services to meet the needs of our users.
