The Parke-Davis Research Library recently migrated its on-line integrated library system from the Dynix host-based system to the Horizon client/server product. This article discusses the migration process, including project planning, client/server issues, data migration, and staff and end-user training. In addition, overviews of the various modules available in the Horizon system, including cataloging, circulation, serials control, acquisitions, and the public access catalog, are also given.
