As an active IAI read your magazine articles from time to time and note you give advice to owners regarding getting ready for annuals on their aircraft. One thing that I would like to add to a story such as this, though, is the potential to save yourself (as an owner) money and the inspector a headache: AD research. I just finished an annual on a C-150, and the owner handed me one logbook. The aircraft was a 1978 model, and knowing that there should have been at least 4 logs (airframe, engine, prop, apps), I immediately thought to myself "Wow this is gonna be fun". The annual wasn't too bad except the AD compliance. The logbook handed to me was the airframe logbook, and it was labelled "Book 3." The owner had no idea about the previous two books.
