We have a 1977 Cessna T210withaTSIO-520-R Continental engine. It has 1000 hours on Millennium cylinders. About 50 hours ago it suddenly went from 12 hours per quart to 6. Recently it dropped to 3 hours per quart-out the breather and on the belly.rnA case check for pressurization showed it to be high so we replaced the crank front seal. This did not help. A borescope check shows that the cross-hatching is still visible in the cylinders.rnCompression has never been real high, and is now in the low 60s with one cylinder in the high 50s (leaking past the rings). The engine still runs fine and can make altitude. Any ideas of the cause?rnWe run lean of peak with GAMIs but use our engine analyzer to do it properly.
