I don't know why Howard Brandston is fighting the demise of the incandescent bulb (LD+A, January). I do have a tre mendous amount of respect for Howard and generally speaking his thinking is very logical. He believes the incandescent bulb should be allowed to be manufactured until the demand falls off and products that are indeed equal and competitive can emerge. That's called an evolutionary process.
