Dear Lubes'n 'Greases, I read with interest Steve Swedberg's recent article regarding Ryder's transition to SAE 10W-30 ("Ryder Sees the Light," page 22, April). Perhaps you've already heard from others, but there is a section in the article that references minimum high-temperature, high-shear limits for the products which is not entirely accurate and may lead to confusion. In fact, I heard from a big customer of ours today who read it and had questions. This is particularly relevant given our upcoming transition to the PC-11 heavy-duty motor oil category, which will place increased scrutiny on this parameter, and the potential confusion that could arise from the "Split Category" concept.
