Afton Chemical is enlarging its global footprint with a new chemical additive manufacturing facility in Singapore, aimed at supplying Asia Pacific and the Middle East. The $100 million plant broke ground June 25 and will start producing additive components in January 2016. "We have a strong commitment to Asia's fast-growing economy, and this plant means we can improve service levels to all of our customers in the region and security of supply to all customers worldwide," said Afton President Rob Shama. The site on Jurong Island was selected for its local infrastructure, market access, economics, safety and logistics, the company said.
