Microminiature O-rings are ordinary-looking products, but they're often called upon to ensure reliable sealing in precision equipment performing critical tasks. Generally they have an ID or cross section of less than 1 mm, and are used in applications ranging from scientific instruments and medical devices to aerospace components and fiber-optic systems.
