Braven's new BRV-Bank is a rugged 6000mAh backup battery for iPhone, iPad and other devices. It's Bluetooth enabled, which means you'll be able to remotely control it using the Remote Battery Monitor app (free, tinyurl.comfxyLh5) to check its power levels, turn on or off one or both of its dual USB ports for power conservation, and activate Bear Mode or SOS. In Bear Mode, the BRV-Bank will alert you if your iPhone is moved, and in SOS mode will send a stress signal using the Bank's USB torch, ideal for adventurous outdoor types.
