A: With the latest version of iTunes and the Apple TV, such movies (and any sort of video that you didn't obtain from the iTunes Store) are now catagorised as home videos. When you select Computers on your Apple TV, you'll see a Home Video entry as the fourth item in the media list. If you select this and press the remote's Select button, all your ripped movies should appear. If, like us, you find it a pain to separate your Apple-purchased movies from those you've ripped (and yes, you should rip only those discs that you own), you can correct the behaviour easily. To do so, you need to change the media type for the affected files from Home Video to Movie. There are a couple of ways you can accomplish this in iTunes.
