Choosing any multifunction printer over another can be tricky because some of your choices will obviously depend on what you want to use it for-as a hard-working device for a small or home office that's going to be mainly used for copying and mono printing, or for scanning old photos and printing out new ones. Given that our focus is on A4 photo print quality though, there are some things that become immediately apparent. The Lexmark X4875 and X4650 languished at the bottom of the group. Although both have a good range of features and are easy to use, we feel that print times and print quality are among the worst of the printers here. The high cost of ink cartridges also makes them among the most expensive to use on a day-to-day basis.
