摘要

The evaluations presented here demonstrate that WRF iscapable of developing wind fields that compare well withsite-specific measurements, and that the response to terrain(evaluated qualitatively) adds to the confidence that WRFderivedwind profiles are useable for near-field modeling incomplex terrain. These conclusions support the use of WRFas proposed by EPA in the revisions to the Guideline. Inaddition, prognostic data in general, when configured toresolve local terrain and land use, is an acceptable alternativeto measured meteorological data and can potentially offersignificant flexibility in facility siting at the early stages ofcapital project development.
