摘要

Maharashtra is home to a large number of tribes, most of which are found residing around the Deccan region. Amongst the popular folk crafts of the tribes are the Warli paintings. Warli paintings have gained global recognition for its simplicity and beauty. This is the simplest form of art that uses geometric shapes like circles, triangles and lines. It is inspired by nature and depicts social life of Warli tribes. In the world of fashion, it is very necessary that artisans should also be aware of latest trend and technology along with their traditional knowledge. In order to promote professional approach among artisans, the researcher developed customized software which was evaluated by 120 panel members comprised of 30 subject matter experts, 60 artisans and 30 stakeholders to assess its usefulness. The developed Customized Software scored a mean score of 4.05 (faculty members) 4.03 (artisans) and stakeholders (3.90). The paper describes in details about the evaluation of customized software on Warli folk art of Maharashtra.
